The next elections cycle for the seat of CiCea President begins in June 2026.
The incoming President-elect will serve a 6 year tiered term in office from October 2026 through to September 2032; 2 years as President-elect, 2 years as President and a final 2 year term in office as Past-President. Full details on the eligibility criteria, nomination papers and dates will be posted here with links on our FB page and Twitter accounts. These are available here.
Nominations opened on June 24th and close on September 14th, 2026 after which nominees papers were reviewed and certified. Voting opens on September 15th to individual and institutional members. Voting closes on September 29th. Election results will be announced to the membership via email, FB and IG on September 30th 2026.
Developing and Applying to Run a CiCea International Webinar

In the autumn of 2022, the Children’s Identity and Citizenship European Association (CiCea) inaugurated the CiCea International Webinar Series Events. Through these webinars, CiCea members and friends of the Association have the opportunity to provide an international audience with interesting, topical and thought-provoking discussions, research and practices on a particular topic relevant to the Association interests. Webinar materials and recordings (depending on availability and recording quality) are available here.

AWARD WINNERS
Each year, the association makes an award for the best publication(s) of the preceding year in the field of citizenship education and identity related to children and young people that has been written by a CiCea member or members. Information on the nomination and selection processes are available in the Activities section of the website or directly, by clicking here. Below you can find the awardees for each year, from 2010 to the present.
2024 Awardees
Fifteen (15) submissions were considered for the 2023 award. The award winners were announced at the Annual General Assembly meeting held in May 2025. By category the winners are:
